A a rather rough mono audience recording, compromised by a good bit of tape hiss, wow and flutter. Expect frequent rough edits between sets some of which result in the clipping of the affected sets. They fall between Isis and Blowin' In The Wind; Railroad Boy and I Pity The Poor Immigrant; I Pity The Poor Immigrant and Shelter From The Storm; Shelter From The Storm and I Threw It All Away; Lay Lady Lay and Idiot Wind; and Knockin On Heaven's Door Gotta Travel On. There's a brief dropout during Idiot Wind, and another (or an edit) near the beginning of Knockin On Heaven's Door after which the volume level increases significantly. I'm not at all convinced that this is from a single source. Knockin On Heaven's Door and Gotta Travel On, in particular, sound as though they differ in origin. Though probably more for the completest than the casual listener, this tape is of special interest in light of the performance of Dink's Song. Other than the 09/21/61 performance at Gerede's Folk City (no recording of which is circulating to my knowledge) and the Minnesota Hotel Tape (12/22/61), no other performances are known. Thanks for the loan, Mike! Dubbed 06/15/98. 110 min.
