The Library has two audience recordings.
The first is a very good, but incomplete, recording. The end of One Too Many Mornings is clipped and Rainy Day Women #12 & 35 is missing. Expect some fluctuation in levels, accompanied by a couple of brief dropouts at the outset of Crash On The Levee (Down In The Flood). Otherwise, clean and problem free. Dubbed 05/24/99. 1 x 60 min. and 1 x 90 min. Request 9611061.
The second is a pretty good recording, compromised by some occasionally obtrusive audience chatter and a couple of destructive edits. There's a bit of fluctuation in levels at the outset (less than a minute) of the recording. Originally a stereo recording, George, the taper, confides: "when i played back my recording, ... I discovered that the left channel had no signal at all. For practical reproductive purposes (not everyone has a mono switch) I immediately transfered the one-channel stereo master to two-channel mono, and considered that to be the defacto master... I then re-used the original one channel tapes for other purposes." The recording was taken from "the 15th row, left-center" with a Sony WMD-3. A rough edit falls between Silvio and Mr. Tambourine Man clipping the first second or two of the latter. Another falls between Like A Rolling Stone and One Too Many Mornings with similar results. Otherwise, clean, complete, and problem free. Thanks, George. Dubbed 05/25/99. 1 x 60 min. and 1 x 90 min. Request 9611062.
