The Library has two audience recordings.
The first is a fair recording. Matt, the taper, wrote: "The acoustics in the arena were horrible (the music has a lot of echo), but the tape came out decently anyway. ... I used a Sony DAT D-7 with an ECM-737 microphone to record the show." Matt summed it up in a subsequent E-mail, when he went on to say: "Unfortunately, it sounds as though they were recorded in a fish-bowl." Still a very nice listen. Thanks, Matt. Dubbed by MM 09/??/98. 90 min. Request 9809231.
The second is an incomplete recording and suffers from the same acoustic problems as the first. The tape concludes after Make You Feel My Love. A significant chunk of the beginning of Mr. Tambourine Man is also missing (tape flip is my guess). Adam, the taper, informed me that the recording was made on an Optimus cassette recorder. Dubbed 01/12/99. 60 min. Request 9809232.
