A pretty good stereo recording, compromised by a some fluctuation in volume level. Across The Borderline, in particular, is quite hot and suffers from some distortion. The taper, Ammitai X Worob, wrote: "There is some minor fluctuation in volume during some of the shows, as I was just learning how to use my new DAT." Ammitai went on to write: "After "Tangled Up In Blue" people rushed the stage. Not nearly as much difference in the mix/sound as the Syracuse show. I was at this show with a friend & he was yelling pretty loud in between songs. It doesn't really take anything away from the recording in my opinion. One funny thing is my friend saying "Check out the Pee-Wee Herman shoes." to me as Bob got onstage. Also, as with the Syracuse show, after people rushed the stage, there was a lot more crowd noise on the recording." The recording was made from the first row, center stage with a Sony M-1 and Core-Sound Cardioids microphones. Dubbed 01/08/99. 100 min. Request 9811031.
