The Library has two recordings.
The first is a very good stereo audience recording, with which I can find little fault. I noted some feed back and occasional bass overload (particularly evident during Mr. Tambourine Man), but attributed this to the venue's sound system, rather than any shortcoming in Steve's recording technique. The duets with Paul Simon (The Sound Of Silence, I Walk The Line/Blue Moon Of Kentucky, and Knockin' On Heaven's Door) are missing. Otherwise, clean and problem free. Thanks, Steve! Dubbed 08/06/99. 110 min. Request 9906131.
The second is also a very good stereo audience recording, but compromised by a trivial dropout. There is a brief (less than a second) dropout during Not Fade Away which I have closed on the Library's analog Masters. The bass overload noted in the previous recording is also evident here, confirming my initial suspicion that this was an artifact of the venue's sound system. Otherwise, clean, complete, and problem free. Dubbed 08/23/99. 110 min. Request 9906132.
